About Chesneys

Chesney’s was founded over thirty years ago by Paul Chesney to mainly restore antique fireplaces back to their former glory.

In the early 1990s they made a distinctive move into manufacturing reproductions of period fireplaces in natural material and iron together with creating contemporary designs to cater for the whole of the fireplace market. This coincided with the great housewarming boom and when country style was brought into and mixed successfully with urban living.

Today, Chesneys have showrooms in London and New York as well as supplying to authorised dealers across the world. Their exquisite products are to be found in the most elegant commercial and new build projects. Paul Chesney still plays a fundamental role in product development. His eye for vision and his creativity has lead the company to be the global success that they are today.

So confident with their build structure, all stoves carry a five year guarantee on their bodies. The clean-burn and air-wash technology means that they give outstanding levels of efficiency with minimal emissions. All of their stoves are DEFRA exempt for use in smoke control areas. This means that any of their stoves can be used to burn logs in all major towns and cities throughout the country.

Fire Baskets & Register Grates

Chesney’s have produced a range of period and contemporary Fire Baskets and Register Grates to complement any fireplace. Designed to accommodate a real fire, it can also be adapted to house their Alchemy gas effect fire. These fires are available as coal or log and can be manual or remote control. Each log is individually hand painted in order to give the most realistic appearance. The Chesneys Alchemy log effect fire is also used within their gas stove range. As with all other products, the build quality is excellent due to rigorous testing all done in-house by their own team of highly skilled engineers. The fully sequential remote control gives you the option to alter flame height and heat output making it as realistic as possible at the touch of a button.

Electric fires & Stoves

A fireplace is a key feature in every home but it’s not always possible to have a solid fuel or gas appliance. That’s why Chesney’s have manufactured the Olympus range of electric fire baskets and the Salisbury electric stove to complement their fireplaces. The flame effect on the electric baskets produces a fine mist by using a water bath contained under the logs. The new range of stoves use real logs and stones which gives them a truly unique and realistic look. The body of the stove is cast iron and has the same distinctive design as the solid fuel version.

We have an extensive range of Chesney fires and fireplaces on display if you are interested in a Chesneys fire or would like more information about the possibilities available to you? Call into our Showroom where one of our advisors will be more than happy to assist you or contact us.
